The SUN VALLEY CENTER FOR THE ARTS in Idaho is sponsoring Beatriz to teach classes on the traditional art of Mexican Papel Picado on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14, 2003. Beatriz is a papercutting instructor at MICHAELS ARTS AND CRAFT STORES. Student make cards or frame their creations. Check the class schedules at the Everett Store (1325 SE Everett Mall Way - 425.267.9088) and the Lynnwood Store (3115 Alderwood Mall Blvd - 425.771.6979.) Pre-payment is required ($10 for 2 hours.) Make your reservation (payment) at least one day in advance.
The March them is Scherenshnitte, Pysanky and Paaskepynt Spring designs. April's theme is Mexican papercutting - Papel Picado Enramadas (string of Papel Picado banners.) May patterns include Multicultural celebrations and June's designs will be Patriotic.
