
Papercutting artist, Beatriz Diaz Goodpasture has been a member of the Guild of American Papercutters (GAP) since 1997. She is a featured writer to
THE FIRST CUT magazine published by GAP.

For the past 16 years, Beatriz has devoted her time to preserving the
PAPEL PICADO tradition. She carries on the tradition of her master teacher Olga Ponce Furginson. Both share the goal of introducing participants to the different techniques of paper cutting and preserving the art of Mexican papercutting.

Beatriz has taught preschoolers to adults the art of papel picado. She has developed and presented workshops and trainings in English and Spanish in the area of Art, Multicultural Education, Story Telling, Literature, and Mathematics.
